This year’s Progressions show was filled with raw emotion. The hour long dance concert, on this Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, showcased what many of the high school’s dance classes have spent the past year working on. It ranged from slower modern pieces, to quicker paced contemporary hip hop. At times, much of the pieces seemed like organized chaos. Some dances had 5 dancers, while others had as many as 26, with many dances choreographed by the students themselves. Many had deeper meanings, that were shown through intense music and movement. Every dancer really put their all into the dances, and the combination of everyone’s energy and talent led to very powerful and beautiful pieces.
