If you could be any one of your teammates, who would you be and why?

I would be Jeremy Noel because he’s probably the best guy on the team, but he’s also a really good captain. Last year was my first year ski racing. I didn’t really know how, and he was very helpful and really supportive. That’s everything I want to be when I’m a senior.

What is your mindset before races? What gets you pumped?

I’m just excited. I see people go in front of me and I just want to go. I love skiing. I’ve always loved skiing.

How has this sport affected you as a person?

I’ve made a couple of friends, especially at the high school, but also it’s bonding for my family, because we always ski together. It’s a thing we always do. It just relieves me of my stress because I enjoy it so much.

What is your goal for the season?

My goal is to try to make All-States this year, because I was five places off of making it last year. I’m really going to try and work harder to make it this year.

How would you describe the team and your relationship with your teammates?

I always tell everyone that the ski team is probably one of the most fun teams because skiing is awesome and it’s not something that gets you stressed out. It’s not super competitive and there’s also very good people on the team. I think we’re all friends just because we’re together a lot in the winter and we really help each other out.

If you could be one professional athlete who would you choose to be?

I would probably be Messi, just because I love soccer and there’s no one better than him. I don’t think there ever will be.
