New Deputy Superintendent positions announced

Nicole Gittens and Samuel Zimmerman were announced on June 21 as Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Deputy Superintendent of Student Services, respectively, by Interim Superintendent Joe Connelly and incoming Superintendent Andrew Bott. Gittens and Zimmerman will fill vacancies in office. Gittens will begin working on July 1, and Zimmerman will begin working on August 1.
Gittens will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning, while Zimmerman’s domain will be special education, health services, guidance, registration and counseling and psychological services for Brookline Public Schools.

Ok so you guys are awesome! You guys are so much more qualified than some of the other reports I’ve seen from professional news stations, even when documenting the same event without having to know who’s who (ex: the protest in front of Town Hall that Dahana put together). You all know what you’re doing, and I hope some of y’all go into journalism for real because America needs people as good as you guys to be informed enough to be in a democracy and progress.
