Seniors take Powerpuff title

Becky Perelman, Sports Writing Editor

Powerpuff was filled with cheers, comebacks and plenty of school spirit. It was senior girls versus junior girls, red versus blue, the class of ’18 versus the class of ’19. Only one team could be victorious.

The conditions were hard for both players and supporters. It was cold and it was raining, but the seniors battled through it and scored the first touchdown.

The juniors were fast to bounce back and tied the score to 6-6. The score was close for the entire game, but in the final minutes, senior Isabel Leader caught an interception giving the red team the final possession. Senior Isabel Lobon was able to use the opportunity to score a winning touchdown. Throughout the game, there was a lot of back and forth, with the seniors scoring a touchdown and then the juniors scoring one directly after.

In the end, the seniors came out victorious with a final score of 42-36.
