POTS: What would you change about the high school?

Muriel Statman, Staff Writer

MyAsia Lopez, senior

“They need to talk more about mental health illnesses and stuff like that going around the school because that is a big issue and not many people talk about it. I think that there should be more resources or since there are resources, they should make it known that they are there so people don’t struggle by themselves.”

Josh Hark, sophomore

“I think that the food system should be a lot healthier and there should be a lot more options. Last year there were a lot of more types of foods and it seems like they downgraded this year.”

Antonio Canejo, freshman

“I think that we need more breaks throughout the school day. School is really stressful and I don’t think that lunch is long enough.”

Ourie Ophir, sophomore

“One thing I would change about the high school is not to have advisory. It is unnecessary and doesn’t really help us with anything.”

Belle Hartshorn, senior

“If there was one thing I could change about the high school it would be that I wish we started school later. I think that even though we start at 8:20, which is not bad, I get up at 6:30 every morning which is not enough sleep. So I think that if we started school later we would all be happier and healthier.”
