POTS: What are your thoughts on the Winter Olympics?
Evan Porco, Staff Writer
Sohjeong Kim, sophomore
“I’m really looking forward to them. I’m from South Korea and this year it’s held in South Korea; I’m really excited about it.”
Ryan Chen, sophomore
“I think they’re entertaining, and this year it’s a good chance for better relations between North Korea and South Korea, as they are going to participate under the same flag this year. It’s good progress.”
Richard Desir, junior
“I think that it’s great to have the different nations in the world come together for a sporting event, because it’s just good friendly competition between countries.”
Mia Canetti, sophomore
“I love them. I enjoy most of the events, except for the boring ones like cross-country skiing because you just watch people ski. But other than that, I really enjoy them and I have lots of memories from them.”
Eli Weldon, sophomore
“I really like the Winter Olympics. I think they’re better than the Summer Olympics. I feel like a lot of the Summer Olympics sports go unnoticed. There are so many track events, so many events that people don’t watch. But in the Winter Olympics, it seems like every event is interesting and every event is captivating.”
