Day of Silence gallery: Why did you choose to be silent?

Day of Silence is an annual day during which students show support for the LGBTQ+ community by choosing not to speak for a whole day or to be a vocal ally. Students can pick up “silent supporter” or “vocal ally” stickers in the Atrium at the beginning of the day. The silence is meant to represent solidarity with LGBTQ+ individuals who feel unable to speak about who they are due to their sexuality. The day precedes Day of Dialogue, a full-day event that includes assemblies and discussions surrounding LGBTQ+ issues.
