“For me, it’s Scholars, which is a good program because it really helps me with being a minority in such a large school. It has given me opportunities that I wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t taken the class. Mr. Kahrl partnered up Global Leadership with the Scholars class to go to Washington D.C. to lobby to Congress, and due to that, I could go even though I wasn’t part of the Amnesty International club. Also, over the summer we do a calculus project that helps you study math for the following year, and it has helped me persevere.”
