POTS: If you could uninvent any invention ever made what would it be?

Oliver Galea, sophomore
“I would uninvent the iPad. I feel like it’s just the bigger version of the iPhone, and it’s just as useful, but less useful to always carry around with you. You can also do the same things that you would want on an iPhone.”
Laura Kopotiyenko, senior
“Magazines because that was the start of females specifically seeing an image of the modern day woman and what they had to look like or had to achieve. It’s changed over time, but I feel like it’s a big influence on how women want to change themselves and how they want to alter themselves just to be the modern day beauty in society.”
Claire Guillemin, sophomore
“Atomic bomb all the way. They’ve caused so much more harm than they will ever do good. Some forms of bombs are good for making tunnels, going through mountains or making railroads. But other than that, they don’t serve a good purpose other than bringing more fear to society.”
Celia Wu-Hacohen, junior
“I would uninvent yellow starbursts because they’re kind of nasty and no one eats them. And the pink ones are better.”
Tom Kosa, senior
“Probably the pop-up ad because the person who invented it thinks it was a mistake, and it’s not really helpful. It’s just irritating to a lot of people.”
