Fall Sports Preview

Girls Varsity Soccer

“We are looking to build on last year’s success and hopefully win a state championship. The first few games of the season have been super fun and I’m really excited to continue playing with such an awesome group of girls.”- senior Maya Leschly

Boys Varsity Soccer

“Our goals as a team are to be able to work our hardest every game and be able to put together complete 80 minute games…An end goal for us, like every year, is to make the state playoffs and hopefully advance as far as possible.”- senior Isak Shapiro

Girls Cross Country

“This year we have 55 runners, our largest ever, highlighting the enthusiasm for the team. With our top 10 runners being experienced juniors and seniors, we’re hoping to qualify for States as a team (as we have in the past two years). Because of how large our team is,  we have three captains: Madison, Julianna and myself. This allows us to give as much support as possible to underclassmen and new team members.” – senior Sasha Whittaker

Boys Cross Country

“This year we hope to qualify for the State meet again. The team wants to defend Brookline’s reputation as a top tier cross-country team while also building an atmosphere that supports runners at all levels. The boys have been working really hard over the past few weeks and I’m excited to see them progress over the upcoming weeks.”- senior Seth Jones

Girls Swim and Dive

“This year we hope to have every swimmer and diver qualify for both States and Sectionals…22 people have already qualified, which is the most we’ve ever had. Amanda and I want to work on team bonding and just having more fun on the team. ” – senior Sarah Tanabe
