Brookline Booksmith

Brookline Booksmith is currently closed due to COVID-19, but their online store is still up and running. To support their business, you can order books or a gift card, and you can even purchase a t-shirt from their fundraising campaign which can be found on their website. The Booksmith is a family-owned business that was founded in 1961 and will soon celebrate 60 years of connecting the world of literature to people across Brookline. Co-owner and co-manager of Brookline Booksmith Lisa Gozashti said the staff works hard to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to bring out the authentic voices of different cultures and periods of history. They regularly change the lives of customers with awe-inspiring book recommendations, celebrating these different voices, and sharing a love of books with the community. The store is currently working on a new membership program that will come with different tiers of privileges and perks. This program will continue during their closure and is especially important right now because it will provide a huge amount of support for their staff, so stay tuned for updates in the upcoming weeks. You can also get involved with the Booksmith’s larger family by subscribing to their weekly newsletter and checking out their Instagram page. Most importantly, Brookline Booksmith wants you to know they are still here for the community and are working on new ways to connect people to the world of literature from a distance.
