Learn more about the Preparation Phase of “RemotePlus”
From August until Sept 16, the Professional Development Summer will occur, where staff will have time to learn how to use SeeSaw, Google Classroom, Canvas and other grading and remote learning tools. They will also use this time to adapt their content and curriculum to fit the MA State Frameworks and the remote learning needs and strategize possibilities for ELL and Special Education students. According to the presentation, on Sept 1 staff will go to the school buildings for training and professional development with an anticipated capacity of 790 people.
Low-income students and families will also receive support from the Office of Teaching and Learning and Food Service programs during these times, as well as students with Special Education and ELL.
