Do you have a gently-used prom dress? The Senior Steering committee has partnered with Chestnut Hills Bloomingdales for Dress it Forward, an event intended to find prom dresses for students unable to afford one. The Senior Steering committee, along with four others schools, will compete for the $500 reward given to the school that donates the most gently-used prom dresses from March 8-18. The prize would be used to fund the prom. Dresses can be dropped off at room 285 or Bloomingdales. Be sure to mention that you are giving for Brookline if you drop off at Bloomingdales.
Brookline’s submission to the Massachusetts State Drama Festival, Wii Dig, progressed from the preliminary round held at BHS on Saturday, March 3, and will participate in the semifinal round on March 10. The performance, directed by drama teachers Mark VanDerzee and Mary Mastandrea, is the imaginative tale of a depressed teenager who uses video games to cope with parental difficulties. She is transported to a bizarre, Wizard-of-Oz-like world, where she engages in a variety of creative scenarios The cast members and directors wrote the original script.For those who missed the preliminary round, two shows will be performed in the Roberts-Dubbs Auditorium on March 20 and March 21.

On Thursday, Feb. 16, the freshmen boys basketball team defeated Framingham in the last game of their season. This final win gave the team a perfect, undefeated season; their final record was 21-0.
On Thursday, March 4, two teams from the curling club took part in the Country Club Cup finals. The Greene rink won the Country Club Cup with seniors Matt Greene, Dan Jaffe, Tucker Mitchell and James Richardson competing.The Chinca rink came in second, with juniors Enio Chinca, Justin Blocher, and Stefan Schmitz competing.
