Paper Source is a stationery and gift retailer, that offers papers, custom invitations and announcements, gifts, greeting cards, gift wrap, paper craft kits, party supplies, and personalized stationery and stamps.

What are the protocols that Paper Source has been taking?
Like most places in Brookline and the state, we ask that everyone wear a face covering when they come in. We also have a couple different hand sanitizer stations for everybody. We have the Plexiglass to separate us from customers when we’re in close proximity, but then throughout the store we ask that people social distance. We also have separate hand sanitizers for our associates and our employees, and then we regularly clean the pads and the doors. We initially were doing curbside pickup and then our location wasn’t getting so much curbside because people wanted to come into the store, so we ended up turning our curbside pickup off. We can take orders over the phone.

How have those protocols been working?
I would say at the beginning, when we reopened in June, it was a little more stressful, a little quieter. We didn’t see as much foot traffic. We didn’t have the Plexiglass until a couple months in, so we had to use a [little table] to keep the distance between us, so we kind of had to adjust to that. But, now things are starting to look a little more normal. We haven’t had any issues with customers not following any protocols, which is great.

If you could say one thing to potential shoppers, what would it be?
We are open and happy to have people in here and we’re excited to get back to normal. We are doing everything we can to keep our customers safe, and we appreciate when they do the same for us.
