How did you get into volleyball?
I started playing in 7th grade through the middle school program.
What are your goals this season personally and as a team?
I want to help to improve the culture of Brookline volleyball and make the playoffs.
What are you going to miss most about Brookline Volleyball?
I’m going to miss the stress reducing aspect of volleyball and the friendships I’ve made on the team with people in different grades.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have a 95 pound dog.
Sophie Hester – Senior
What got you into volleyball?
I joined the volleyball team in 5th grade because all the other girls in my school in New Orleans joined it and I never wanted to switch sports.
What are your goals for this season personally and as a team?
My goal for the team is to play as well as possible every game and hopefully make it to playoffs. Individually, I want to make the most out of the season and have a great time playing.
What are you going to miss most about being on the team?
I’ll miss having an activity to rely on everyday and having that habit and consistency.
What is a fun fact about you?
I lived in New Orleans for three years.
Alex Juster – Senior
What got you into volleyball?
I did an overnight camp at URI the summer of seventh grade with my friends
What are your goals for this season personally and as a team?
Make the postseason, which is likely, and then go as far as we can.
What are you going to miss the most about Brookline Volleyball?
The team community, especially the bus rides back from away games, and team bonding.
What is a fun fact about you?
I was on Sesame Street when I was little.
Charlotte Mullen – Senior
What got you into volleyball?
My mom signed me up for volleyball lessons when I was in fifth grade and I hated them but now I love the sport. So try new things even if you don’t originally like them.
What are your goals for this season personally and as a team?
As a team we want to make the playoffs, but we also want to have a very good team environment and dynamic. We want to have a good community where everyone feels safe and mistakes resulting in growth are okay. Personally, I want to be a supportive captain and make sure everyone feels like they are valued and supported on the team.
What are you going to miss the most about Brookline Volleyball?
I’ll definitely miss the supportive environment the most because everyone’s friends with each other.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have an 18 year old clown fish named Nicole.
