The Brookline High School 21st Century Fund announced n Oct. 3 that their annual gala will celebrate James Beard award-winning chef and Brookline parent Jody Adams on Saturday, Nov. 17 .

Brookline, MA – October 3, 2012 – The Brookline High School 21st Century Fund is celebrating James Beard award-winning chef Jody Adams at its annual gala on Saturday November 17. Adams, who owns the Rialto and Trade restaurants, was a competitor on Season II of Bravo TV’s Top Chef Masters. She is the parent of two Brookline High School students (’08 and ’14).
Attendees will enjoy a savory course prepared by Jody herself, and a Gourmet Taste Around featuring some of Brookline foodies’ most cherished spots: The Fireplace, La Morra, LINEaGe, Clear Flour Bread, Fiorri di Nonno, the Regal Beagle and Oishii of Chestnut Hill. The theme of the evening is “The Secret Ingredient: Stirring the Passion in a Child’s Life.” This theme honors Jody’s outstanding accomplishments as a chef and entrepreneur, and celebrates the Fund’s mission.
The 21st Century Fund partners with Brookline High School to develop innovative curriculum that inspires BHS students to pursue their dreams and transition successfully into adult life. “We aim to guarantee that innovation continues at BHS – resulting in an energized faculty and a well-prepared student body equipped with 21st century skills. Jody Adams is a wonderful role model – an example of what our students can accomplish if they are determined and passionate about what they do,” commented Jessica Conaway, BHS 21st Century Fund, Executive Director.
Since its inception, the 21st Century Fund has raised nearly $9 million to launch and sustain 17 programs, seven of which have been fully incorporated into the Brookline Public Schools’ budget. Current programs include: BHS Writes, Global Leadership Academy, BHS Advisory, Medical Interpretation and Translation and the Content Reading Initiative.
Brookline High School will host the gala on its campus at 115 Greenough Street. The event, which begins at 6:30 pm., will feature silent and live auctions and dancing with the XX live band.
