Headmaster Deborah Holman was awarded Best Dancer for earning the highest scores in the first annual Brookline Dancing with the Stars event on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Hosted by the Brookline Rotary Club, Brookline Dancing with the Stars raised $85,000 for the Brookline Food Pantry, the Brookline Food Co-Op and for each of the eight dancers’ charities of choice. Audience members pledged donations to dancers and their charities as the night went on.

A board of three judges, including former Performing Arts Curriculum Coordinator Lynn Modell, scored the dancers on a 10-point scale.
Co-owner of Vine Ripe Grill Lisa Wisel raised the most money for her charity.
Other dancers at the event included Selectman Ken Goldstein and Heath Department Director Alan Balsam.
