Student participants in Steps to Success will be distributing purple ribbons in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Steps to Success, a program that works with low-income students to make “school success and college completion become both a goal and a reality,” according to its website, plans to have a week of scheduled projects, performances, seminars and activities later in October to spread awareness about domestic and teen dating violence.
Students can pick up ribbons in the Career Center throughout October.
