On Feb. 20, 2014, the Milwaukee Bucks traded Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour for guard Ramon Sessions and forward Jeff Adrien ‘04. Adrien, who is currently averaging 5.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, is in his fourth NBA season.
An alumnus of Brookline High School, Adrien played on the boys varsity basketball team starting his sophomore year. He helped the team reach the state finals with the Warriors both his sophomore and senior year.
After graduating from BHS, Adrien attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH for a postgraduate year. Adrien then attended the University of Connecticut, where he served as a team captain on the school’s basketball team. He finished his college career with 1603 points and 1126 rebounds, becoming the first player in UConn’s history to score more than 1600 points and collect 1100 rebounds.
After a year in Spain playing for the Leite Rio Breogan of the Spanish League, Adrien accepted a position to play in the Orlando Summer League in 2010, and signed with the Erie Bayhawks that same year. He has since played for the Golden State Warriors, the Houston Rockets, the Charlotte Bobcats and most recently, the Milwaukee Bucks. As of April 9, Adrien has averaged 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game as a Buck this season.
