I do track and field so I really enjoyed seeing a lot of records go down, like Olympic records and world records. I enjoyed seeing my favorite athletes compete.”

“I like the track and field aspect of the 2024 Paris Olympics, fom what happened through all the spectacular comebacks that some of the athletes had, like Quincy Hall had some big wins, [and] Noah Lyles. That was very interesting to watch.”

Anderson Tsai, sophomore

“My favorite part of the Paris Olympics was seeing all the different countries, especially in the swimming because there’s a ton of different events and different lengths and distances. I'm a swimmer and seeing all the different people competing and seeing all their progress over the years - I’ve followed a lot of these guys since they were smaller, like in their twenties and now they’re in their mid-thirties, and just seeing their journey was really impressive and great.”

“I think Ping-Pong is a really underrated Olympic sport. I wouldn’t ever watch Ping-Pong normally, but in the Olympics it just hits different. Also, badminton is very entertaining. Both [are] very fast-paced sports, and very fun to watch. I wouldn’t ever watch them otherwise.”

“My favorite part of the Paris Olympics was watching the women's soccer because I play soccer and I really like getting to watch soccer. It teaches me a lot about how I can improve and I thought, especially this year, the triple espresso - Trinity Robin, Mallory Swanson and Sophia Smith - were really impressive and kind of carried our team.”

“The beam event of the gymnastics. I find it so interesting how the athletes can balance on basically something that’s like an iPhone’s width and do super cool tricks on it. I find that you would need incredible focus to be able to do that and incredible balance. I just find it so impressive.”

“I swim myself, so I really liked watching the competition because the Australians were really good this year, giving the US a run for their money. So it was really good to see the rivalry.”
