“My brother rock climbed before me and I did some summer camps and really enjoyed it, so in highschool I joined the metro act team. We work on strength and endurance because some of the routes are long and you can be on the wall for a long time. We also have mental training, which is the most important thing we do because anyone can be physically strong but not everyone can be mentally strong. That’s something I’ve really struggled with. I climb both indoors and outdoors, and we train for competitions. We go on week-long trips and my coach really wants to take us to France, which would be super cool.”
