What has your experience been in the student government?
“When I first went up, I wasn’t 100 percent ready to, but in the back of my mind I was like, ‘I know a lot of people in the school, maybe I can represent them well.’ So I gave my speech and they put me on the ballot and I was elected. I started going to the meetings and my voice is heard more in student council. For example, the love not hate bands; I was able to give certain ideas and help distribute them. Overall I have enjoyed my experience because even though I hadn’t planned to do it, I feel like I am able to represent my friends. You might not see me as the ideal student representative but I can still do the job.”
