Abilities Dance

Abilities Dance is a dance company for artists with and without disabilities that promotes intersectional disability rights in the Greater Boston area and beyond. Ellice Patterson founded Abilities Dance to create a space not only for herself to dance, but for others to express their passion as well. Due to COVID-19, Abilities Dance is not able to host in-person events, but they would love your support by keeping up with all the work they do on Facebook and Instagram, as well as spreading the word about their programs in your communities. They have an educational program for students interested in dance and a community program that holds workshops and lectures about entrepreneurship and disability culture. Abilities Dance also has a professional dance company that travels around the country to start conversations about building equity. This company not only includes dancers, but composers, musicians, audio description editors, and more. They hope to have more Brookline residents come to an event in the future when it is safe to do so.
