Fantasy Football:

As we approach the end of January, the NFL season is close to its end, as only four teams remain in contention for the Super Bowl. This year, the league continued to bring suspenseful games to fans around the United States. Besides the excitement of watching the games live, Fantasy Football is a game that gives fans a chance to use their knowledge of the sport and strategic skills to compete against other players around the country.

Game Rules:
Fantasy Football players can join a league within the game, in which a draft will be held. Through the draft, players can select picks and build their fantasy teams. Players have to use their budget to build a line of one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one kicker, one defensive player and seven bench players. Besides the draft, fantasy football competitors can also trade players throughout the season. After every matchday in the NFL, the fantasy team will be awarded points depending on the real-world performance of the players within the fantasy team. The goal is to get as many points as possible by the end of the NFL season and get a good ranking within the given Fantasy League. The top six teams in each league qualify for the next round, which will be played during the NFL playoffs.

Successful field goal (50+ yards): five points

My top three picks for the final four of the playoffs:

Aidan Hutchinson – The defensive end for the Detroit Lions has had an incredible season with the team, contributing to their playoff run. Hutchinson’s impressive stats of 51 tackles, three fumbles forced and one interception make for a great pick to include in the fantasy team.

Lamar Jackson – The quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, has impressed football fans throughout the season. Jackson has accumulated more than three thousand passing yards and 24 touchdowns. Expect a continuation of his great performances in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Christian McCaffrey – A big reason the San Francisco 49ers have reached the Western Conference finals is their starting running back. McCaffrey has had the most running yards out of any running back this season, and I expect him to continue that, gaining many points for fantasy players who get him on their teams.
