Junior Emma Grinspoon “I saw the posters in the school and I’ve been following the Black Lives Matter movement and all the police shootings online and in the news. I watched a few of the videos of shootings and it just really upset me how unjust this was because people were getting killed for doing nothing, simply because their skin was darker and had more melanin than other people. And people aren’t doing anything about it. People aren’t responding properly to the situation which is so pressing and becoming more pressing. It’s not getting enough action, it’s not getting enough attention. So I wanted to wear black to show that I support the movement, and I think we need to have more change and take more initiative on this issue.”
