The student-led club Funding For Friends (F4F) helps underserved people around the Brookline community by volunteering for different organizations.

Funding for Friends (F4F), a new student-run club that meets every X-block, has already helped the Boston community and is continuing to better the lives of many.

F4F participates in projects that focus on helping underserved people in the Brookline and Boston community. It is led by sophomores Sophia Liu, Julia Price, Mackena Hammond, Lincoln Hafner and Jace Gangadharan, who come together and determine the projects the club will take part in.

Gangadharan said that the club has reached out to local homeless shelters and is supporting them by organizing donations.

“We have boxes throughout the school where we can accept donations. There’s a list of things homeless shelters accept, and once they’re filled, we send it to them,” Gangadharan said.

Price said that F4F is hoping to explore different ways to help the community. She said that their first goal is to reach out and contribute to different nonprofits after their current project is completed.

“We hope to volunteer at places like the Brookline Food Pantry and charities like Cradles to Crayons and other organizations,” Price said. “Our goal is to help people in need to raise money and volunteer.”

Liu said that the club is working to expand and that the most helpful and effective advertising is via online posts on Instagram (@funding4friends) and TikTok (@funding4friends).

“We use social media a lot to advertise our new club to just make people aware of what our projects are,” Liu said. “We want to let people know it’s a very positive environment.”

F4F encourages anyone with questions, concerns or interests to reach out and contact them through their Instragran, @funding4friends.
